Stuttgart, October 2026 – Kalmeijer presented the new KGM Pro for the first time at the Südback trade fair. The machine represents the next generation of the well-known Kalmeijer biscuit machine and has been developed for professional artisan bakeries with higher demands in terms of product quality, reproducibility, hygiene and ease of use.
With the introduction of the KGM Pro, Kalmeijer is building on a concept that has been used worldwide for cookie production for many years. The proven operating principle of the original KGM has been retained, while numerous components have been redesigned based on the practical experience of bakers and machine operators.
The new machine offers a range of improvements that directly contribute to a more efficient production process. The speed of the baking tray conveyor can now be digitally monitored and continuously adjusted, making it easy to record and reproduce settings. The adjustment of the thickness of the dough figure has also been made more precise, while the machine provides additional space for thicker products. Integrated lighting and a larger safety window also provide a clearer view of the forming and cutting process inside the machine.
Important improvements have also been made in terms of ease of use. The infeed roller conveyor has been extended, while the adjustments for tracking and tensioning the conveyor belt have been moved to the outside of the machine, as has the belt height adjustment. In addition, the internal transport of the dough products has been further optimised. This makes day-to-day operation of the machine easier and more consistent.
Hygiene, durability and maintenance were also key considerations in the development of the KGM Pro. The machine is energy-efficient and constructed entirely from stainless steel, while the motor compartment has been designed to be accessible for cleaning without the use of tools. Components that are subject to wear have been designed as replaceable inserts, enabling maintenance to be carried out more quickly and cost-effectively.
The KGM Pro has also been designed with international use in mind. The updated electrical system makes it easier to adapt the machine to different voltages and frequencies, while existing Kalmeijer moulding rollers and baking trays remain fully compatible. This allows existing users to upgrade to the new generation of machine without additional investment in rollers and baking trays.
At Südback, the KGM Pro was presented as part of the complete production concept, consisting of the biscuit machine, moulding rollers, baking trays and the KPB50 baking tray table. Together, these components have provided an integrated solution for the efficient production of a wide range of artisan cookie products for many years.
The first KGM Pro machines will be delivered from the second quarter of 2027. Interested bakeries can reserve a machine from now on by placing an order.
According to Kalmeijer, the KGM Pro responds seamlessly to the changing requirements of modern artisan bakeries: greater efficiency, reproducible product quality, improved hygiene and a long service life.
With its introduction at Südback, Kalmeijer marks an important step in the further development of its cookie production range and reinforces its position as a specialist in solutions for professional artisan bakeries.
