Since 1920

Since 1920, Kalmeijer has been a trusted name in the world of artisan bakery machines. Our journey began with Arnold Kalmeijer’s invention of a technology that transformed dough into shaped cookies. The cookie moulding machine became a great success thanks to its simplicity, durability, and the high quality of the cookies it produced.

Mechanization in the Bakery

Kalmeijer played a key role in the mechanization of bakery processes. By developing machines that supported bakers without compromising craftsmanship, we helped bakeries increase efficiency while maintaining the authenticity of their products.

Fruitweg 11 in The Hague

After relocating to a new factory on Fruitweg in 1953, Kalmeijer’s growth truly accelerated. With the development and introduction of dough lines for both small and large bread, demand in the Netherlands and Flanders increased rapidly. Kalmeijer played a significant role in the mechanization of the bakery sector.
